The individual will be supporting the following:- Develop new customers for the Flight Opportunities program.
- Interface with potential customers, describing our program and finding ways in which the program can support their efforts through flights, other opportunities within NASA, conferences, contacts, etc.
- Interface with STMD decision makers such as Principal Technologists, System Capability Leadership Team leads, and Domain Formulation leads to assess relative priority of flight testing opportunities.
- Develop rationale for funding decisions including technical and programmatic factors
- Provide technology tracking, including information on technology paths, future plans, and infusions into operation.
- Contribute to post-flight debrief meetings
- working with technology developers to understand results, disseminate information from the flight test, and find other opportunities.
- Support the TechLeap Challenge opportunity by assisting in the development of the technical guidelines, development of judges, and recommendations for funding.
- Provide recommendations on opportunities/barriers to enable greater infusion into NASA missions and/or further development of STMD invested space technologies/concepts/activities.
- Provide analysis on strategic approaches, method or tactics to improve the leveraging, partnering and/or effectiveness of STMD's commercial activities.
- Provide Support documentation (i.e.
- Provide status briefing to STMD Flight Opportunities leadership, including new customer opportunities, technology tracking, and status of ongoing flight opportunities partnerships as required.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Program Management, or a related field preferred.
- At least ten years' experience in a technology role
- Experience with NASA projects and missions
- Extensive experience with business development, customer success, and working in matrixed environments #CJ
