Job Summary:
Jackson, Michigan This position is for a registered dietitian working in an inpatient care setting. The role involves providing comprehensive nutritional care, including assessment, diagnosis, intervention, and education. The dietitian will collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized nutrition plans and participate in community education programs.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Dietetics or a related field with completion of an ACEND-accredited Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) and supervised practice program (dietetic internship); Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential from the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR), active and issued prior to January 1, 2024, or obtained on or after January 1, 2024, with Masters Degree preferred; minimum of 1 year of recent full-time experience as a registered dietitian in acute care, nursing home, or inpatient rehabilitation/long-term acute care (LTACH) setting within the past 5 years; trained in completion of Nutritional Fluid Physical Examination (NFPE) and experienced with enteral and parenteral nutrition.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in intensive care unit (ICU) settings.
- Schedule: 8-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week, flexible start and stop times.
- Additional Information: The dietitian will assess nutritional needs, develop care plans, monitor patient progress, and provide education to patients and their families. Responsibilities also include supervising dietetic interns, participating in special projects, and maintaining documentation in medical records. Strong communication, computer skills, and adherence to customer service standards are required.
