Job Opportunity: Primary Care and Family Practice Physician Summary: Join a dynamic healthcare delivery system as a Primary Care and Family Practice Physician in a rural setting. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Quality Care: Provide safe and efficient care to patients, promoting quality care that aligns with organizational goals and mission as well as Texas Medical Board guidelines. Health Promotion: Offer health promotion, prevention, and treatments to all patients, prioritizing their well-being.
Medication Management: Prescribe medications when necessary to maintain patient health and well-being. Health Assessments: Perform health assessments, both initial and ongoing, identifying normal and abnormal health findings. Develop a plan of care with appropriate interventions and conduct follow-up evaluations for care outcomes.
Case Management: Manage and oversee medical, pediatric, and obstetrical/gynecological categories for cases that do not require referral. Supervision: Provide supervision in case assignment to allied health professionals, supporting chart sign-offs and reviews as required by organizational and licensing board standards.
Patient Education: Educate patients and families on care, physical findings, diagnostic test results, and collaborate with other healthcare providers to manage/coordinate patient care. Communication Skills: Utilize interpersonal and verbal communication skills to educate and engage patients and families.
Participate in process improvement and multidisciplinary clinical outcome improvement activities. Professionalism: Adhere to the highest standards of medical practice, ethics, and professionalism at all times. Compliance: Follow all organizational procedures and standards within budgetary specifications, including time management, supply management, productivity, and quality of service.
Professional Development: Promote individual professional growth by meeting continuing education requirements, mandatory training/classes, and skills competency. Peer-to-Peer Evaluation: Complete quarterly peer-to-peer evaluations to foster improvement in patient care through provider education and health system enhancement.
Risk Management: Identify risk management issues and bring them to the attention of the Executive Director and/or Clinic Medical Director. Procedures: Based on current licensure and credentialed privileges, perform invasive, diagnostic, or therapeutic procedures when needed.
Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Accurately document and update patients' EMR in a timely manner, following all documentation guidelines and requirements. CLIA Waived Tests: Provide oversight of CLIA waived tests. Professional Appearance: Adhere to all appearance standards and maintain a professional dress while working.
Customer Service: Maintain a friendly, efficient, positive customer service attitude toward customers, clients, and co-workers. Be responsive to customer needs. Service Excellence: Use the Service Excellence model when interacting with patients, clients, and guests.
Professional Growth: Demonstrate commitment to professional growth and competence by adherence to hospital and departmental annual training commitments.
