KEY ACTIVITIES- Implement Sunroc mission (Building a Better Community) and core values (We Value People, Our Word is Our Bond, Always Give a Full Measure, We Continuously Improve).
- Diagnose, rebuild, and repair vehicles and equipment; perform major engine and transmission repairs and replacements as well as electrical diagnosis.
- Perform major electrical repairs (including electronic controls), minor welding repairs, engine and transmission repairs and replacements, as well as equipment and plant maintenance repairs.
- Perform inspections and preventive maintenance of vehicles and equipment.
- Complete major road calls and perform field repairs.
- Keep scales calibrated and certified with the state.
- Responsible for safe operation and securing equipment.
- Maintain tools as required to perform job.
- Ensure a safe and healthful work environment at all times.
- Knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, electronics, and familiar with associated components.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 3 years journeyman experience and/or 2 years diesel mechanic certificate (preferred).
- Valid CDL (preferred) and clean driving record.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs without assistance.
- Must be 21 years or older.
- Documentation that proves eligibility to work in the U.S.
- Attention and commitment to safety.
- Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
