Overview:

The Area Manager serves as a key operational leader within their assigned region, reporting to the Regional Director. This individual is responsible for ensuring high-quality program implementation, strong client relationships, and overall performance of assigned programs.

The Area Manager oversees program supervisors and supports the successful execution of services across schools within Philadelphia, ensuring alignment with contractual expectations and organizational goals.

How you’ll support the region:

Team Leadership & Management
  • Supervise and support Program Supervisors to ensure programs are fully staffed, launched on time, and operating effectively
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and professional growth across teams
  • Partner with the Regional Director, the talent acquisition team and HR to support recruitment, selection, onboarding, performance management, and retention of staff
  • Ensure staff have the tools, training, and resources needed to meet program expectations
  • Maintain consistent and effective communication with team members and provide ongoing coaching and support
  • Model a positive, professional culture aligned with organizational values
Program Operations & Execution
  • Oversee implementation of programs across assigned schools within Philadelphia, ensuring alignment with contract requirements
  • Ensure instructional staff, materials, facilities, and resources are adequate and effectively utilized
  • Support Program Supervisors in resolving operational challenges quickly and effectively
  • Implement systems, tools, and processes to ensure strong program execution and compliance
  • Monitor program performance and ensure goals and service expectations are met
Financial Management & Reporting
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial tracking for assigned programs
  • Partner with the Regional Director and finance teams to ensure accurate billing and revenue reporting
  • Monitor program financial performance and identify opportunities for efficiency and improvement
  • Ensure all reporting and billing requirements are completed accurately and on time
  • Help implement processes that strengthen financial accountability at the program level
Client Services & Partnership Management
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with school and district partners
  • Communicate regularly with stakeholders to ensure satisfaction and program success
  • Support contract renewal efforts by maintaining high-quality service delivery and strong partnerships
  • Ensure deep understanding and execution of contract terms and conditions
  • Identify potential risks and proactively escalate and address challenges
Growth & Strategic Support
  • Identify and support opportunities for program expansion and new business within the region
  • Assist in developing strategies to grow existing partnerships and services
  • Support schools in effectively utilizing available funding aligned to district and company priorities
  • Contribute to planning efforts that drive long-term regional growth and sustainability

Qualifications:

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Education, or a related field
  • At least seven years of relevant experience in education or business operations
  • Prior management and budget experience required
  • Experience working with school districts preferred
