Allied Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment.

Opportunity:

Electrophysiology Technologist - EP Tech Radiology Cardiology

Job Details:

  • Work with electrophysiology procedures including implants, complex ablations, LAAO, cardioversions, tilt table and TEE procedures
  • Handle 6-12 procedures daily in a 4-room facility
  • Late shifts required with no call responsibilities
  • Self-scheduling available
  • Care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
  • Work in a busy referral center for complex patients with anesthesia coverage for 95% of procedures
  • Must have stamina and skills to meet high expectations in fast-paced environment
  • Floating within scope may be required
  • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
  • Skills required: Circulate Procedures, Procedural Sedation Administration/Monitoring, Scrub Procedures
  • 2 years of experience required, with electrophysiology experience preferred
  • Trauma Level I experience preferred
  • EPIC charting experience required
  • BSN preferred
  • Virginia or compact state license must be in hand at time of submittal
  • Natural nail policy enforced
  • 2 references required
  • Complete orientation modules on VCU Learning Exchange (average 6 hours)
  • Two pre-approved time off requests allowed

Facility:

This medical center operates a specialized electrophysiology laboratory serving as a referral center for complex cardiac patients. The facility features advanced equipment including Biosense Webster Carto, multiple ultrasound systems, Medtronic cryotherapy, GE CardioLab, and GE biplane X-ray systems.

The department provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, interpretation services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation services to ensure optimal patient care outcomes.
