**Key Responsibilities:**- Perform routine and special laboratory assays on patient specimens across all sections of the Clinical Laboratory.
- Utilize your expertise as a generalist to deliver accurate data essential for effective patient care.
- Exercise independent judgment in evaluating the validity of test results before reporting.
- Operate and calibrate advanced laboratory equipment with precision.
- Ensure the integrity of laboratory data by thorough evaluation and documentation of test results.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, pathologists, and nursing staff regarding test procedures and results.
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology.
- American Society for Clinical Pathology - Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) certification.
- Experience with EPIC systems.
- Familiarity with Vitros, Unity, and WellSky platforms.
- ASCP Specialty certifications are a plus.
- Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
- Housing: Travelers must secure their own housing; options in Basalt, Carbondale, and Glenwood Springs may be considered.
- Housing costs: $3,500/month is typical for a 1BR in Basalt.
- Work Environment: Must be healthy enough to safely function in a low oxygen environment at 8,000 feet elevation.
- Shift: Rotating schedule includes 3x12 and 4x10 shifts.
