- Shift: 12-hour nights (6:45pm – 7:15am), every other weekend
- Hours per Week: 36 (guaranteed)
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,930 – $2,030 (competitive travel nurse pay)
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kentucky at time of submission
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
- Minimum 2 years of acute inpatient RN experience; telemetry or cardiac monitoring experience preferred
- Experience with Epic electronic medical record (EMR) system
- Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) required
- Strong English communication skills (read, write, speak) for patient education and interdisciplinary collaboration
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing reassessments based on patient condition and telemetry findings
- Monitor cardiac telemetry, recognize arrhythmias, and intervene according to unit protocols
- Develop, implement, and update individualized care plans with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and post-procedure care per hospital policies
- Document patient status and responses in Epic EMR accurately and timely
- Provide patient and family education tailored to discharge planning and ongoing cardiac care
- Delegate tasks and mentor licensed and non-licensed staff; serve as a preceptor when applicable
- Participate in quality improvement, safety initiatives, and Practice Governance to maintain regulatory compliance
