Schedule: Full-Time | 40 Hours/Week | Variable 8-Hour Shifts
Shift Timing: Tuesday–Friday: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM | Saturday: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Additional Shift Details: Variable shifts may include Monday–Friday: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM. On-call and holiday coverage required as needed.
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks with possible extension

- Tuesday–Saturday
- Sunday–Thursday
- Monday–Friday

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Technician to support surgical and procedural services in a fast-paced healthcare environment. The Sterile Processing Technician will be responsible for cleaning, disinfecting, sterilizing, assembling, and distributing surgical instruments and medical equipment while ensuring compliance with infection control and regulatory standards.
Roles & Responsibilities- Clean, disinfect, sterilize, and store surgical instruments and medical equipment
- Assemble procedure trays, surgical trays, and case carts accurately
- Operate and monitor sterilization equipment following safety protocols
- Inspect instruments for cleanliness, functionality, and damage before distribution
- Maintain accurate documentation and instrument tracking records
- Deliver sterilized supplies and equipment to operating rooms and clinical departments
- Respond promptly to emergency, trauma, and add-on surgical cases
- Communicate inventory shortages, backorders, and equipment concerns to department staff
- Support onboarding and training of new staff members as needed
- Follow universal precautions and infection prevention standards at all times
- Assist with additional departmental duties based on operational needs
- Participate in on-call and holiday coverage as required

- Computer proficiency
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Operating room or clinical experience preferred
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum 1 year of Sterile Processing experience preferred
- Previous hospital or clinic operating room experience preferred
- CRCST certification through HSPA or CBSPD required
- Ability to work variable shifts, weekends, holidays, and on-call schedules
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to maintain compliance with infection control standards and safety protocols
