  • 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
  • 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
  • 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in GI Lab / Endoscopy to join a dynamic healthcare team for a 13-week travel assignment. The RN will coordinate and deliver comprehensive patient care across the pre-procedure, intra-procedure, and post-procedure phases while collaborating with an interdisciplinary care team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver patient-centered care utilizing the nursing process and interdisciplinary collaboration
  • Provide patient and family education throughout the care continuum, including discharge planning
  • Conduct ongoing patient assessments and document clinical findings accurately
  • Administer medications safely, including moderate sedation per established guidelines
  • Monitor and manage patient pain effectively
  • Assist physicians during GI procedures, including:
  • Colonoscopy (with polypectomy/biopsy)
  • Esophageal dilations
  • PEG tube placement
  • Banding procedures
  • Electrocautery procedures (e.g., argon plasma coagulation, clipping, injections)
  • Perform pre- and post-procedure patient communications and follow-ups
  • Deliver post-procedure recovery care
  • Identify and report signs of abuse or neglect in accordance with legal requirements
  • Support care for patients across all age groups
  • Utilize electronic medical records and nursing informatics systems efficiently
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain high standards of care
  • Collaborate effectively with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Required Qualifications
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Massachusetts or compact eligibility preferred)
  • Minimum 2–3 years of recent Endoscopy/GI Lab experience (within the last 5 years)
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
  • Moderate Sedation certification
  • Successful completion of:
  • Pharmacology exam
  • Basic Arrhythmia program or equivalent competency
  • Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in English (written and verbal)
