Overview:
The Central Registration Financial Investigator secures prior-authorization as needed for outpatient consultative and ancillary services offered within the BronxCare Healthcare System.

Responsibilities:
This individual communicates daily with local practice administrative staff, physicians and other care givers frequently to facilitate successful solicitation of prior authorization. The Financial Investigator may be called upon frequently to deliver reports, status updates on pending authorizations and to assist in the clarification of payer specific authorization guidelines for our various contracted and non-contracted insurance carrier plans.
Qualifications:
High School or GED, Associate’s preferred
Minimum Two (2) years’ experience of Hospital/Healthcare in Financial Investigations and/or Insurance Verification and/or Insurance Authorization
Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills
