Shift: PRN Position (48 hours month required) 12-hour shifts- 7am- 7pm and 7pm – 7am, weekend shift variesLocation: Travel between Emory locations within Emory Healthcare Locations
Salary: $27.25

We are seeking a capable Emergency Room Float Tech who Performs a variety of clinical tasks to better facilitate patient care by directly assisting nursing and physician staff.- IV insertion and placement of a foley catheter.
- Performs and documents vital signs, notifies triage nurse or physician on duty possibly critical patients, communicates as appropriate to waiting room patients.
- Conducts needs analysis to determine need for supplies based on ED volume.
- Monitors stock and supplies to ensure par levels are maintained.
- Ensures that physician orders are accurately entered into the computer.
- Answers phones and direct inquiries as appropriate. Performs other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
- Graduate of an accredited EMT or Paramedic training program.
- 1-year minimum Previous
- Must have current certification as an EMT-I or Paramedic, AHA CPR, and AHA ACLS if Paramedic.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous Emergency Department Experience
