Overview

We are seeking an experienced Integration Architect – Enterprise Systems to design and lead enterprise integration strategies across complex technology environments. This role is critical for organizations modernizing their systems while maintaining seamless connectivity between legacy platforms and modern cloud, data, and application ecosystems.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in enterprise integration architecture, with the ability to define scalable patterns, assess current environments, and guide implementation teams across diverse systems.

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement enterprise integration architectures connecting legacy systems, cloud platforms, SaaS applications, and data environments
  • Define and standardize integration patterns including APIs, event-driven architecture, middleware, batch processing, and real-time messaging
  • Assess existing integration landscapes to identify risks, inefficiencies, and modernization opportunities
  • Develop integration roadmaps supporting application modernization, cloud adoption, and data/AI initiatives
  • Collaborate with application, data, infrastructure, and security teams to ensure practical and scalable solutions
  • Establish standards for API design, authentication, authorization, logging, monitoring, and versioning
  • Provide architectural guidance and support to development teams during implementation
  • Ensure integrations meet enterprise requirements for security, compliance, scalability, and performance
Required Qualifications
  • Proven experience as an Integration Architect, Solution Architect, or API Architect
  • Strong knowledge of REST, SOAP, middleware, messaging systems, event streaming, and ETL/ELT processes
  • Experience with integration platforms such as MuleSoft, Boomi, Kafka, IBM MQ, Azure Integration Services, AWS integration services, or similar
  • Hands-on experience integrating legacy systems with modern cloud and data platforms
  • Strong understanding of enterprise security standards (OAuth, SAML, JWT, API gateways, encryption, access control)
  • Experience working in large enterprise or regulated environments
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience integrating ERP, CRM, EHR, and enterprise data platforms
  • Background in healthcare, finance, or other regulated industries
  • Familiarity with multi-cloud and hybrid architecture environments
  • Strong documentation and architecture design skills
Must-Have Skills
  • Proven ability to design scalable integrations between legacy and modern systems
  • Strong API and middleware architecture expertise (beyond point-to-point integrations)
  • Ability to lead technical discussions and influence architectural decisions
