Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Registered Nurse in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) in Boston, MA. This contract position offers an exciting opportunity for experienced RNs to provide critical care to surgical patients in a fast-paced environment.
The SICU is an 8-bed unit specializing in the care of various surgical patients, including those undergoing transplant, hepatobiliary, and general surgery. We are looking for dedicated professionals with a strong background in trauma and Level 1 trauma experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality nursing care in the SICU.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, implementing care plans as needed.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation using Epic.
Requirements:
- 2-3 years of related work experience in a surgical intensive care setting.
- Current CPR-AHA and ACLS certifications are mandatory.
- Experience with trauma and Level 1 trauma patients is required.
- No local travelers will be accepted (must reside more than 50 miles from the facility).
Orientation is held weekly (every Monday, barring holidays), and candidates must be available for an interview with the Nurse Manager. Please provide your availability at the time of submission. All requests for time off (RTO) must be presented at the time of submission.
