Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to support rehabilitation services in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) setting. The PTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to help patients improve mobility, strength, and functional independence following illness, injury, or surgery.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Physical Therapist in implementing individualized treatment plans for patients.
- Provide therapeutic exercises, mobility training, and functional rehabilitation activities.
- Monitor patient progress and report changes in condition or response to treatment to the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic exercises and safe mobility techniques.
- Document patient treatments, progress notes, and outcomes accurately in accordance with facility policies.
- Ensure therapy equipment is maintained and used safely.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support patient recovery and discharge planning.
- Maintain compliance with professional standards, safety regulations, and facility guidelines.
- Active Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license in the state of practice.
- Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Less than one year of experience acceptable, preferably in a skilled nursing or rehabilitation setting.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and patient care skills.
- Ability to follow treatment plans and work under the direction of a Physical Therapist.
