Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced Senior Cloud Security Specialist to support a Security Engineering team within the IT division. This team is responsible for the strategy, design, deployment, and maintenance of security solutions in cloud, local, and hybrid environments.
Key Responsibilities- API Integration Architecture: Design and implement secure API integrations, focusing on cloud systems, including architecture documentation and data model/attribute mapping.
- Scripting & Automation: Create automation scripts and orchestrations (e.g., serverless functions, scheduled jobs, event handlers) to support cloud security processes.
- Cloud Security Design: Provide expertise in security design, implementation, and monitoring of cloud platforms and applications.
- Resilient API Integrations: Build secure and resilient API integrations between cloud applications, ensuring error handling, retry mechanisms, and monitoring strategies.
- Cloud Access Security: Support cloud access security broker (CASB) solutions and data loss prevention initiatives.
- Security Consultation: Offer technical consultation to engineering teams on secure cloud implementations and best practices.
- Documentation: Develop or update security configuration guides, playbooks, and comprehensive documentation for cloud integrations.
- Testing & Validation: Perform thorough testing and validation of cloud integrations and document results.
- Experience: Extensive experience with REST APIs, including implementing, securing, automating, testing, and documenting integrations.
- Scripting Skills: Proficiency in scripting and automation languages for security orchestration.
- Cloud Security Expertise: Experience with implementing cloud-native serverless architectures, security controls across public cloud platforms, and DevSecOps practices.
- Security Technologies: Strong understanding of security concepts such as IAM, network security, cloud security, zero trust, vulnerability management, and security architecture.
- Federal Cybersecurity Knowledge: Experience with federal cybersecurity standards, including NIST Cybersecurity Framework, OMB Memorandum M-22-09, and NIST SP 800-53.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities to resolve complex security challenges independently.
- Consultation & Advisory: Proven ability to provide proactive security consultation and engage with stakeholders to ensure security objectives are met.
- Certifications: AWS Certified Security
- Specialty, AWS Certified Solutions Architect
- Professional or Associate.
- Cloud Integration Experience: Familiarity with integrating ServiceNow, Collibra, and Saviynt.
- DevSecOps Experience: Experience with continuous integration/deployment pipelines and infrastructure as code methodologies.
- CASB Experience: Experience implementing CASB solutions for SaaS application security and visibility.
