- service investigations for aerospace products and systems.
- Lead development, integration, and documentation of structural requirements to establish system designs
- Coordinate with cross-functional engineering teams to define product operating environments
- Perform structural analysis using analytical methods, finite element models/simulations, and other engineering analysis tools
- Guide product design and verify structural integrity throughout the product lifecycle
- Develop test plans and configurations, support test execution, and analyze/report test results
- Define and document certification and validation results to support customer and regulatory requirements
- Support in-service products through failure investigations and corrective improvement analysis
- Develop and improve analytical tools and processes to enhance engineering efficiency and quality
- Support structural analysis activities with minimal supervision Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or related technical field
- 10+ years of relevant structural analysis experience
- 8+ years of experience analyzing primary structures, subsystems, or weapons within the aerospace industry
- Experience performing hand calculations and structural analysis using CAD and FEM tools such as PRO-E, SOLIDWORKS, AUTOCAD, NX/Teamcenter, CATIA/ENOVIA, PATRAN/NASTRAN, StressCheck, Hyperworks, or Abaqus
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to obtain a U.S.
- Experience with Boeing Analysis Tools including CAESAR, Lifeworks, Mechanica, and Common Structures Workstation
- Prior Boeing work experience strongly preferred Education & Experience
- Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry (e.g., Bachelor's degree) and typically 5 or more years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g., PhD, Master's degree + 3 years' related work experience).
- In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
