🩺 About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled RNFA (Registered Nurse First Assist) with strong orthopedic and robotic surgery experience to join a dynamic surgical team. In this role, you will function as both a First Assist and Circulator, supporting a wide range of surgical procedures.
💼 Key Responsibilities- Perform First Assist duties during surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons in robotic (Da Vinci Xi) and laparoscopic surgeries
- Function as a circulating nurse when needed
- Maintain sterile field and ensure patient safety
- Participate in on-call rotation for surgical support
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and OR team
- Document procedures and maintain compliance standards
🏥 Surgical Case Mix
You will gain hands-on experience across diverse procedures, including:
Orthopedic (REQUIRED):
- Total Hip & Knee Replacements
- ORIF (Shoulder, Hip, Humerus)
- Arthroscopy (Knee, Shoulder, Wrist)
General Surgery:
- Appendectomy
- Cholecystectomy
- Hernia Repairs
- Colon Resection
GYN Procedures (Preferred):
- C-Sections
- Hysterectomies (Abdominal & Vaginal)
- Dilation & Curettage
- Laparoscopic Gynecological Procedures
Robotics (REQUIRED):
- Da Vinci Xi Surgical System
- Active RN License
- CRNFA Certification – Required
- BLS, ACLS, PALS – Required
- Strong Orthopedic Experience – REQUIRED
- Robotic Surgery Experience – REQUIRED
- Ability to perform both First Assist & Circulator roles
- 75-mile radius rule applies (no local candidates)
- Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions accepted)
- COVID vaccine not required
