Responsibilities
What You Will Do Each Day
As a Medical Claims Processor, you will play a vital role in our clinical front-office operations. Your daily responsibilities will include:
- Adjudicating Claims: Receiving and processing medical claims/bills for payment or denial.
- Data Analysis: Researching claims for support documentation and analyzing data for benefit criteria.
- Insurance Coordination: Contacting insurance carriers and employers to discuss patient work status and obtain claim numbers.
- System Management: Utilizing KP HealthConnect (Epic) to manage daily work queues and create workers' compensation accounts.
- Clinical Support: Answering high-volume phones and scheduling patient appointments.
Ideal Candidate Profile
We are looking for a dedicated professional who meets the following criteria:
- Education: High School Diploma required.
- Experience: 3+ years of related experience in medical claims or clinical administration.
- Language: Full fluency in both English and Spanish is required.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Epic/HealthConnect and an experienced understanding of medical terminology.
- Professionalism: Ability to maintain a "casual business" or scrub-ready appearance while delivering excellent service
