Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Operating Room position at a Level I Trauma teaching hospital in Flagstaff, AZ, requiring at least 2 years of OR experience including general, ortho, spine, trauma, and neuro cases.
Details- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Weekend requirement: as needed, typically every 3rd weekend
- No on-call requirement
- No floating required
- 1:1 patient ratio
- Level I Trauma Center OR with 11 rooms and high-volume ortho, trauma, and spine cases across all specialties, with minimal pediatric cases
- Short-term acute care hospital with 268 staffed beds
- Charting system: Cerner
- 13-week contract
- Active, unrestricted AZ RN license or valid compact RN license currently in hand
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience required
- Experience in general, ortho, spine, trauma, and neuro (including craniotomies) required
- Level I trauma center OR experience required; candidates with recent Level II trauma experience at a comparable or larger facility may be considered
- 2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply

- Scrubs are provided for OR RNs

- All staff are expected to adhere to facility quality and patient safety standards, including BCMA medication administration protocols
- All time-off requests must be submitted upfront; RTO is subject to unit manager approval
- Blocked scheduling is not guaranteed but the unit will make efforts to accommodate requests
- Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained is required for consideration
