Seasonal Donation Warehouse Associate
$15.30/HR Part-Time, Hourly / Non-Exempt, Tuesday – Sunday
Milwaukee Habitat ReStore is a nationally recognized non-profit organization that sells new as well as gently used furniture, appliances, building supplies, and more to raise funds for Milwaukee Habitat. We're looking to add Seasonal Part-Time Donation Associates to work in our donation warehouse, unloading and loading donations.This is a seasonal position from May to August, with the potential for permanent year-round employment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Greet donors and take in donations at the Donation Center.
- Load/Unload shipment trucks
- Sorting and Pricing Donations
- Arranging Donations (furniture, appliances, building supplies) in the correct departments and merchandising them attractively.
- Assist customers with carrying out their purchases.
- Work side by side with Volunteers in a team environment
Requirements:
- Must be 18 years or older
- High School Diploma or GED
- Strong verbal communication skills to allow for proper interaction with customers
- Ability to frequently and safely lift and maneuver furniture, appliances, and building material weighing up to 50 pounds.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Positive attitude, energetic, and committed to being at work for scheduled shifts.
- Able to adapt quickly to rapid changes and unexpected shifts in priorities.
- Takes initiative, pays attention to detail, and has a professional demeanor.
- Frequent use of moving equipment to move items; the majority of your day is spent standing or walking.
