Job Description
Key Responsibilities for Construction Estimator - Commercial Construction:
- Conduct comprehensive cost estimates for construction projects, considering materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather essential project details.
- Analyze and interpret project blueprints and specifications to determine accurate estimates.
- Prepare detailed and competitive bid proposals.
- Continuously update and maintain a database of historical cost data for future reference.
- Monitor and evaluate industry trends, materials costs, and construction methods to provide accurate estimates.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client presentations as necessary.
- Assist in value engineering efforts to maximize project efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Review and assess subcontractor and vendor proposals.
- Collaborate with the project management team to ensure a seamless transition from the estimating phase to project execution.

The Successful Applicant
Construction Estimator - Commercial Construction Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
- Proven experience as a Construction Project Estimator in a commercial construction environment.
- Proficiency in estimating software and tools for building and construction
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and costs.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of local building codes and regulations (a plus).
- Experience with project management software (e.g., Procore, PlanGrid) is a plus.
