Medical Assistant
Overview:
The Women's Imaging Center, a practice partner of Together Women's Health, is seeking a full time or part time Medical Assistant (MA) to join their growing medical team focused on women’s breast health and providing an unparalleled patient experience.The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting both medical professionals and patients, ensuring a seamless and caring experience throughout their journey at our Women’s Imaging Center.
This position is open to full-time or part-time.
In a full-time position, on days when Medical Assistant support is not required, this role will include helping in medical records or scheduling/front desk.
Schedule:
Days and hours are based on the needs of the practice. This will generally be a Monday-Thursday position, with the option of Friday's if full-time.
Locations:
Must be comfortable traveling to each of our 3 offices (Lakewood, Westminster, Denver/Cherry Creek).
Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Assist in the delivery of patient care services within the Breast Center, focusing on compassion and empathy, particularly in the context of breast health.
- Clinical Support: Provide support to healthcare professionals in performing procedures, and consultations specific to breast health.
- Patient Education: Educate patients on breast health, screenings, and diagnostic procedures, ensuring they are well-informed and supported throughout their experience.
- Administrative Duties: Handle administrative tasks related to patient records, scheduling appointments, managing patient inquiries with professionalism and efficiency, and front desk duties including front and back office and other duties assigned by the practice.
- Diagnostic Assistance: Assist in breast imaging procedures, ensuring patient comfort and cooperation during mammograms, ultrasounds, and other diagnostic tests.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with radiologists and other healthcare staff to ensure coordinated and patient-centered care.
Qualifications:
- Technical Skills: Required familiarity with breast health terminology, technical skill, and assisting the performance of the procedure, such as mammography machines and ultrasound devices, and detail oriented and accurate note taking.
- Certification: Completion of a Medical Assistant program and current certification.
- Experience: 1 year minimum of prior experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in breast health or women's health.
- Compassion: Empathetic and compassionate approach, especially when dealing with patients undergoing breast health examinations and procedures.
- Organization: Strong organizational skills to manage patient records, appointments, and administrative responsibilities efficiently.
- - Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients, healthcare professionals, and team members.
Pay range: $22-24/hr
