Accounts Receivable Specialist
Our client, a leader in global journalism and digital innovation, is seeking a meticulous Accounts Receivable Specialist to manage the full order-to-cash cycle. This pivotal role bridges the gap between signed contracts and realized revenue by working in close synchronization with the Sales and Operations teams.
The core of this position involves overseeing the end-to-end invoicing process for digital advertising, sponsorships, and events. You will partner directly with Ad Ops to reconcile delivery data against contracted amounts, ensuring absolute accuracy in billing.Beyond initial invoicing, the role requires active collections management, where you will monitor aging reports and conduct professional outreach to clients to ensure timely payment cycles.
In addition to day-to-day transaction management, you will maintain data integrity within the Order Management System and provide vital support during month-end closing procedures, including bank reconciliations and revenue accruals.
The ideal candidate possesses three to five years of experience in Accounts Receivable or Revenue Operations, specifically within the media, publishing, or ad-tech sectors. High-level proficiency in Excel—specifically for managing large datasets via VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables—is required.While not mandatory, hands-on experience with Sage Intacct, Hyperion, or Boostr is highly desired. Because this role involves sensitive financial inquiries, exceptional diplomacy and a deep understanding of the digital advertising ecosystem, such as CPM and sponsorship models, are essential for success.

Key Responsibilities- Billing & Invoicing: Oversee end-to-end invoicing for digital advertising, sponsorships, and events.
- Revenue Reconciliation: Partner with Ad Ops to reconcile delivery data against contracted amounts.
- Collections Management: Monitor aging reports and conduct professional client outreach for timely payments.
- Data Integrity: Maintain accurate financial records within the Order Management System (OMS).
- Month-End Support: Assist with closing procedures, revenue accruals, and bank reconciliations.
- Experience: 3–5 years in AR or Revenue Operations, preferably within the media, publishing, or ad-tech sectors.
- Communication: Exceptional diplomacy and tact for handling sensitive collection inquiries.
- Analytical Mindset: High proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables) to manage large datasets.
- Software: Hands-on experience with Sage Intacct, Netsuite and/or Hyperion desired, but not required.
- Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of the digital advertising ecosystem (CPM, flat fees, and sponsorship models).
