- At least 2 years of previous step-down, Med/Surg, or telemetry nursing experience (2+ years)
- Active Iowa RN license
- BLS (AHA) certification
- ACLS (AHA) certification
- NIHSS certification
- Driver’s license
- Current resume / work history
- Skills checklist completed within 1 year
- License verification
- References — 1 supervisory reference required
- Must maintain a taxable address outside of 50 miles from the facility
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients on the Med/Surg Telemetry (step-down) unit as a telemetry nurse
- Monitor cardiac telemetry, interpret rhythms, and respond to changes in patient condition
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members (physicians, RRTs, case management) to coordinate patient care
- Float within the same discipline across local campuses as needed and may be asked to float to the Emergency Department
- Document patient care accurately using EPIC EMR (experience with EPIC preferred)
- Participate in orientation, continuing education, and ongoing training to maintain clinical competency
- Maintain compliance with facility policies, JCAHO standards, and regulatory requirements
