About Our Client

Our client is a long-standing, vertically integrated industrial manufacturer with more than 100 years of history supporting mission-critical infrastructure markets globally. Backed by a highly stable ownership structure and recognized for engineering durability, technical expertise, and long product lifecycle performance, the organization designs and manufactures highly engineered cooling, pumping, and gearing solutions for industrial applications worldwide.

The company supports customers across power generation, industrial infrastructure, and rapidly growing data center markets through relationships with major OEMs, EPC firms, and end users. Their products are recognized as premium, high-performance solutions where technical differentiation, reliability, and lifecycle value drive purchasing decisions over low-cost alternatives.

With significant investment and strategic focus currently centered around cooling towers, air cooled condenser systems, and fan drive technologies, the organization is looking to add a commercially driven business development leader to help expand market presence and identify large-scale greenfield project opportunities throughout North America.

Job Description
  • Develop and execute strategic business development initiatives across industrial cooling and power infrastructure markets
  • Identify and influence greenfield project opportunities with EPC firms, engineering consultants, end users, and OEM partners
  • Drive specification positioning and preference development for cooling tower and air cooled condenser fan drive technologies
  • Build relationships throughout the project ecosystem long before formal purchasing cycles begin
  • Partner closely with OEM sales channels by delivering qualified project intelligence and strategic market insight
  • Support expansion efforts within rapidly growing data center infrastructure markets as well as traditional power generation sectors
  • Collaborate with leadership on long-term commercial strategy, market prioritization, and investment planning
  • Represent the company at industry events, customer meetings, engineering discussions, and technical sales presentations
  • Operate in a highly autonomous, hunter-oriented environment focused on long-cycle opportunity development
  • Provide ongoing market intelligence regarding competitors, project activity, customer needs, and emerging infrastructure trends

The Successful Applicant
  • Strong business development or technical sales experience within industrial infrastructure, cooling systems, rotating equipment, power generation, HVAC, EPC-driven projects, or related engineered products
  • Experience selling premium, value-based engineered solutions rather than highly commoditized products
  • Comfortable operating in long-cycle sales environments with complex stakeholder groups and multi-year project timelines
  • Experience developing relationships with EPC firms, consulting engineers, OEMs, or end users highly preferred
  • Hunter mentality with demonstrated success developing new business opportunities from the ground up
  • Ability to sell technically complex products and communicate feature-function-benefit value propositions effectively
  • Strong executive presence, relationship-building skills, and commercial instincts
  • Comfortable with extensive travel and highly customer-facing environments
  • Existing industry relationships are beneficial but not required for success
What's on Offer
  • Newly created strategic role with significant visibility and influence across the business
  • Opportunity to help shape the company's long-term growth strategy within high-growth infrastructure markets
  • Backed by an exceptionally stable global ownership structure with strong long-term investment philosophy
  • Significant runway for future leadership growth as part of broader succession planning initiatives
  • Exposure to mission-critical industries including data centers, power generation, and industrial infrastructure
  • Entrepreneurial environment where individuals can make a direct impact on company growth trajectory
  • Strong internal support structure paired with the autonomy to build and execute market strategy independently
