Director Public Health Research and Evaluation

Overview:

Join Karna's Atlanta office as a full-time Director of Public Health Research & Evaluation. You'll play a pivotal role in developing and leading research and evaluation programs that drive Karna's mission forward alongside our esteemed partners and clients.

Responsibilities:

 •  Lead the development of and execution of cutting-edge public health research and evaluation programs.
 •  Drive strategic initiatives across various domains, including program and policy evaluation, public health science, and population health.
 •  Act as a catalyst for organizational change, enhancing internal and external relationships' effectiveness.
 •  Maintain industry-leading expertise, share insights, foster learning, and expand professional networks.
 •  Spearhead business development efforts, including strategic planning and managing proposal submissions.
 •  Oversee operational and financial aspects of project portfolios, ensuring performance metrics are met.
 •  Guide project leaders in effective process utilization to meet project goals within budget and timeline constraints.
 •  Enhance program management methodologies, focusing on agility, cost-effectiveness, and quality.
 •  Manage team performance, handle escalations, lead hiring efforts, provide mentorship, and facilitate career development.

Qualifications:

 •  Master’s Degree in Public Health or related field (PhD preferred).
 •  Minimum of 10 years of experience in Project Management or Project Management Leadership roles within public health or healthcare.
 •  At least 8 years of experience leading public health or healthcare consulting engagements.
 •  Minimum of 6 years of experience in people management.
 •  Track record of success in business development and strategy execution.
 •  Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
 •  Proficiency in various program evaluation approaches for public health projects including study design, logic modeling, literature review, and qualitative/quantitative research methods.
 •  Advanced knowledge of research methodologies, including mixed methods research.
 •  Ability to review and analyze technical data related to public health, healthcare, and other pertinent areas.

Ideally located in Metro Atlanta, but other locations may be considered.
