Description
American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer with at least 1 year of ultrasound experience and ARDMS certification for a 13-week travel assignment in Lafayette, CO.
Details- Hospital-based ultrasound department
- Performs general and vascular ultrasound procedures; no echo, breast, ABIs, or segmental pressure studies
- 4x8 hour day shifts, Monday through Thursday from 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM
- No weekend shifts required
- On-call requirement of approximately once every 4–5 weeks, plus assigned holidays
- Uses Epic for charting
- 32 hours per week
- Minimum 1 year of ultrasound experience required
- ARDMS registry required
- BLS certification required (AHA only); must not expire prior to assignment start
- Associate's degree required
- Proficiency with general and vascular ultrasound procedures (excluding ABIs, segmental pressure, echo, and breast)
- Experience with Epic EMR preferred
- Computer literacy including Microsoft Office Suite
- License required if applicable
- Performs ultrasound procedures per physician specifications, including patient positioning, immobilization, and image acquisition
- Submits images and clinical information to the Radiologist for interpretation and evaluates image quality
- Coordinates examinations to ensure timeliness, quality, and continuity of patient care
- Practices sterile technique and adheres to infection prevention policies
- Former permanent staff must have been separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
