Job Summary:
Registered Electroencephalography (EEG) Technologist position available in a healthcare facility located approximately 45 minutes from a major city. The role involves performing electroencephalogram (EEG) testing on a diverse patient population ranging from neonates to geriatric patients, with duties including electrode placement, patient prepping, recording, pattern recognition, and head wrapping for continuous EEG.The position offers night shifts with a schedule that includes weekend rotations and requires working during holidays when they fall on scheduled workdays.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts, 8 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Certification as an EEG Technologist (or grandfathered based on experience), Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, at least 2 years of relevant experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Nihon Kohden software; neonatal experience; electrode placement, patient prepping, recording, pattern recognition, head wrapping, and continuous EEG.
- Float: Float to Intensive Care Unit (ICU) to perform tests.
- Other Support on the Unit: Other EEG technicians are available, RRT/Code Team, EEG supervisor, public safety officer.
- Charting System: Epic (preferred), Nihon Kohden software experience required.
- Orientation: One shift of orientation on the unit.
- Holiday Expectations: Work if the holiday falls on scheduled workday.
- Additional Notes: Scrub color is Caribbean Blue, free parking is available.
