Type: Local or Travel Contract (14 Weeks)

Travel: $2,000 - $2,400 Weekly (Based on Eligibility and Experience)

Position Overview:

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Registered Dietitian for an exciting Local or Travel job in Bronx, NY.

• Perform comprehensive nutrition screenings and assessments for inpatient populations.
• Evaluate patients' nutritional needs and develop individualized nutrition care plans.
• Monitor patients for food-drug interactions and provide appropriate education.
• Consult with physicians regarding diet modifications and nutrition-related interventions.
• Review and interpret laboratory values, medical histories, and clinical findings as they relate to nutrition care.
• Interview patients and family members to assess dietary habits, preferences, and nutritional concerns.
• Provide nutrition counseling and education to patients and caregivers.
• Document nutrition assessments, interventions, patient understanding, and outcomes in the medical record.
• Modify patient menus and therapeutic diets as needed.
• Participate in interdisciplinary patient care planning and quality improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and professional standards.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics, Foods and Nutrition, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
• Registered Dietitian (RD) credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
• Primary Source Verification of CDR Registration.
• New York State Dietitian-Nutritionist Certification (NYSED) for applicable settings.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical dietitian experience.
• Inpatient acute care experience.

• Master’s Degree.
• AHA BLS Certification.
• CDCES (Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist) Certification.
• CNSC (Certified Nutrition Support Clinician) Certification.
• 2+ years of inpatient hospital experience.
• 3+ years of clinical dietitian experience.
• Experience providing nutrition education and therapeutic diet counseling.
• Experience working with diverse patient populations in a hospital setting.
