Description
American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a 13-week travel contract at a short-term acute care teaching hospital, with call requirements and first-time travelers welcome.
Details- Short-term acute care hospital setting in a Nuclear Medicine department
- Level IV trauma, teaching hospital with 87 staffed beds
- 5x8 hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM
- Call coverage required every third weekend, Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
- Holiday call expected if a federal holiday falls within the contract period; if multiple federal holidays occur, call is required for at least one
- May occasionally work independently or rotate between two departments
- Charting performed in Cerner
- Free parking on-site
- Minimum of 1 year of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience
- NMTCB and/or ARRT certification required
- AZ MRTBE license required (license required if applicable; typically takes 7–10 days to obtain)
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
- Must be able to function independently after a two-week onsite orientation period
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
- Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates are accepted
- Two weeks of onsite training provided before independent practice and call coverage begin
- Technologist will typically work alongside another NM tech but must be comfortable working independently and floating between two departments
- Any time off or scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of initial application — RTO requires unit manager approval
- Scrubs of any solid color are acceptable
- All staff are expected to adhere to facility quality and patient safety standards, including medication administration protocols (BCMA)
