Join our team as a PICU Registered Nurse in Seattle, WA, where you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to pediatric patients in a critical care setting. This travel contract position is ideal for experienced RNs looking to expand their skills in a supportive environment.
**Requirements:**- 2 years of experience in Pediatric Critical Care.
- Previous charge experience preferred.
- First-time travelers accepted with relevant experience.
- Floating to NICU or other units within skill set is required.
- Orientation will be provided.
- Every other weekend availability is required.
- Certifications: BLS, PALS (required); NRP, CRRT (preferred).
- Administer breathing treatments and manage chest tube set-up/care.
- Operate CPAP/BiPap, high-frequency vents, and oscillators.
- Conduct procedure sedation and rapid sequence intubation (RSI).
- Perform trach care and ventilator management.
- Administer blood and blood products.
- Obtain 12 lead EKGs and manage drains and pumps (epidural, PCA, syringe).
- Access and care for PICC, central lines, and vascular devices.
- Provide care for traction, halo, pin care, and wound vacs.
- Perm candidates from any other providence facility (non-Swedish) are eligible for a travel contract if separated for at least 3 months.
- All facilities honor active compact licenses.
- Perm staff self-schedule first, travelers will meet unit needs.
