SHER Legal Solutions is hiring a full-time, in-person Litigation Paralegal for a Houston-based litigation firm located near the North Loop. The firm represents policyholders in property damage insurance disputes involving storm, hail, and fire claims, along with a small personal injury docket.
Position Overview
We are seeking a qualified Paralegal for a permanent full-time, in-person position. This role is ideal for a professional with 3 to 8 years of experience who is comfortable balancing high-level legal tasks with essential office support. While the firm specializes in property damage, the attorneys are looking for a versatile individual to manage both case files and day-to-day office operations.
Key ResponsibilitiesLitigation Support: Execute customary paralegal tasks, including drafting discovery, preparing demands, and managing case timelines.
Court Filings: Coordinate and execute electronic filings in State and Federal court systems.
Office Coordination: Manage front-end operations.
Evidence & Loss Analysis: Organize photos, weather reports, and drone footage; coordinate with public adjusters and engineers.
Policy Review: Analyze insurance policies to identify coverage, deductibles, and exclusions.
QualificationsExperience: 3–8 years of litigation experience (Property Damage or First-Party Property experience is a plus).
Federal Filing: Experience filing in Federal courts is strongly preferred.
Versatility: A "no task is too small" attitude, comfortable switching between complex legal drafting and general office administrative duties.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat; experience with Filevine is a plus.
Attributes: Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage high-volume evidence gathering independently.
