Associate Scientist

Duration: 6 – 12 Months

Responsibilities:

• Sample management and tracking, including the receiving and sending of

• Handling of human clinical samples - FFPE and frozen tissues, blood, PBMCs.
• RNA/DNA/protein extraction, QC and downstream biomarker assays.
• Manage electronic notebook, database(s), and/or spreadsheets (link removed) />
• Other molecular or cell biology assays as needed.

Requirements:

• Recent college graduate with a GPA of 3.2 or better in biological sciences.
• Proficiency in molecular biology laboratory techniques.
• Experience with nucleic acid isolation.
• Working knowledge of Excel spreadsheets.
• Attention to detail and organization are musts.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience handling human samples.
• Experience with column-based RNA isolation.
• Understanding of the principals of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP).
• Lab experience outside of classwork preferred (internships, work-study,

co-op, senior thesis, previous employment, etc.)
