Application Administrator Lead - Windows with Security Clearance

Location: Tampa, FL (Hybrid) Clearance Requirement : Active Secret or TS / SCI Clearance Employment Type : Full-Time Core business hours with on-call availability Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Windows Application Administrator Lead to provide technical leadership for enterprise application administration on a federal government IT program.
You will oversee Windows Server-hosted applications, mentor team members, drive STIG compliance, and serve as the primary technical escalation point for Windows environment issues. Key Responsibilities ● Lead technical operations for enterprise Windows application administration in a federal IT environment ● Mentor and guide junior application administrators on Windows platforms ● Oversee application deployment, patching, monitoring, and incident response on Windows Server environments ● Maintain STIG configurations and drive cybersecurity compliance across all Windows-hosted systems ● Coordinate with infrastructure, cybersecurity, and development teams to sustain application environments ● Develop and maintain SOPs, network diagrams, and technical documentation ● Lead disaster recovery testing and technology refresh planning for Windows-hosted applications ● Serve as primary technical escalation point for Windows environment issues Required Qualifications ● U.S. Citizenship required ● DoD Security clearance or Active Secret and/or ability to obtain; ● Bachelor's degree OR current Microsoft certification (Azure Administrator Associate or Windows Server Hybrid Administrator) ● Minimum 7 years of Windows Server and application administration with 2+ years in a lead role ● Strong experience with Windows Server, IIS, Active Directory, and enterprise application management ● Familiarity with security hardening, STIG compliance, and patch management practices Preferred Qualifications ● Experience with web/application servers (Apache, Tomcat) in Windows environments ● Familiarity with Splunk or similar SIEM platforms ● Cloud-hosted application environment experience (OCI, Azure, or AWS) ● Background in federal IT with DoD security compliance responsibilities Certifications ● Microsoft certification preferred (Azure Administrator or Windows Server Hybrid) ● Security+ or DoD 8570 baseline a plus
