Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position on a Dedicated Education Unit at a high-acuity Level 1 trauma center, requiring at least 2 years of experience in a large or high-volume hospital setting.
Details- 30-bed Dedicated Education Unit (9CD) within a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center
- Travel nurses on this unit are responsible for direct patient care only — not educational duties
- Mixed Med/Surg patient population with complex and high-acuity cases
- Patient ratio of 5–6:1
- Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
- 4 weekend shifts per month required
- Block scheduling is generally not approved
- No on-call requirements
- Active RN license in Georgia (GA) or a Compact state currently in hand
- Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Experience in a Level 1 trauma center or mid-to-large, high-volume hospital required
- Proven ability to manage critical, fast-paced, high-acuity patient situations
- Background handling diverse and severe cases in a high-volume environment required
- This facility is a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center known for complex, challenging, and high-volume cases
- Candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered for this position
- No RTO (time off requests) will be approved for this assignment
- Local candidates are accepted for this position
- A positive attitude and punctuality are emphasized by the facility
