Faculty, Machine Tool Technology, Part-time
Overview:
This person will be responsible for educational leadership and student instruction on a part-time basis in the Manufacturing Engineering Technology department. Teaching responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, CNC machining, manual machining, Automation, metrology, and CAD/CAM.
Fall 2026 schedule : Tuesday/Thursday: 5-10pm
Qualifications:
EDUCATION- Associate's Degree In Tool Technology, Engineering Technology, or related discipline. Required
- Bachelor's Degree In Tool Technology, Engineering Technology, or related discipline. Preferred
- Three (3) years of teaching and/or industrial work experience in machining technologies. Required
- Five (5) years of related teaching or industrial experience. Preferred
- Interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively and courteously with students, faculty, staff, and the public. Required
- Sensitivity to the expectations of students, faculty, and staff. Required
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in written form. Required
- Developed organizational skills. Required
- Demonstrated sensitivity to diversity and multicultural issues. Required
- Computer literacy in specialty area. Preferred
Responsibilities:
- Instruct and evaluate student performance in machining technologies, such as CNC machining, metrology, automation, manual machining, and/or EDM.
- Maintain accurate written records of Student performance.
- Assume responsibility for laboratory coordination and maintenance.
- Maintain communications with School administrators as appropriate.
- Requisition supplies, materials, tools, equipment, and maintenance as appropriate.
- Complete official Student rosters and return to School office as required.
- Attend Department meetings as requested.
- Maintain office hours according to contractual guidelines.

Pay Transparency:The part-time rate for 2025/26 will be the greater of $1160 per credit or $773 per contact hour, prorated for student enrollment under seven. The approved substitute pay rate is $48.31 per hour during the first week of substituting and the prorated part-time teacher rate for consecutive substitute assignments that exceed one week.
