Pharmacy Technician – Inpatient Hospital (Contract)
Location: Olympia, WADuration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Evening/Night Shift
Hours: 40 Hours Per Week
Responsibilities:
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications for inpatient use.
- Process medication orders using EPIC EMR.
- Prepare, package, and label medications accurately.
- Maintain medication inventory and pharmacy supplies.
- Support sterile and non-sterile compounding activities.
- Deliver medications to nursing units in a timely manner.
- Perform medication cart fills and restock automated dispensing systems.
- Follow hospital policies, safety regulations, and pharmacy standards.
- Maintain clean and organized pharmacy work areas.
- Communicate effectively with pharmacists, nurses, and healthcare staff.
- Participate in quality assurance and medication safety initiatives.
- Support daily pharmacy workflow during evening/night shift coverage.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of inpatient hospital pharmacy technician experience required.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Acute care hospital experience preferred.
- Ability to work evening/night shifts.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with hospital pharmacy workflows and medication safety standards.
Required Certification:
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPHT) – Required
