Conduct financial analyses related to residential rental properties, and formulate projections to inform acquisition, disposition, and management of assets in multiple US markets and locations.
Identify optimal asset acquisitions and dispositions and make recommendations by implementing finance and economic frameworks to assess risk-return tradeoffs and recommend optimal investment management strategies.

Evaluate and underwrite potential acquisition opportunities by researching market economics, analyzing competition and growth prospects, assessing risks and returns, interpreting financial and operational statements, creating financial models, and preparing investment recommendations.

Facilitate Build-to-Rent (BTR) community disposition decisions by compiling property information, preparing financial models, and analyzing brokerage proposals.
Review scattered site asset disposition requests by evaluating location, market dynamics, maintenance history, and rent growth potential to optimize portfolio performance.
Monitor troubled assets to identify disposition candidates and support operational goals. Maintain the Disposition Review Model and Disposition Review Database, and prepare summary reports.

Develop and maintain asset management reports for BTR communities using data processing, financial modeling, forecasting, and Excel VBA for automation. Oversee daily project and portfolio-level asset management tasks, including pricing reviews, cost analysis, and renewal optimization strategies.

Requires 5%-10% monthly travel to various US market/locations that cannot be anticipated.
Bachelors degree (or foreign equivalent) in finance, economics, or other related field; plus 5 years of experience as a financial analyst, or any other position in which the required skills were gained.
At least $500 million of relevant transaction experience in investment management, real estate asset management, real estate acquisitions, corporate finance, or financial services.
4 years of experience in developing and maintaining internal real estate portfolio underwriting models using established finance methodologies including Discounted Cash Flow, Development IRR, and Joint-Venture Waterfalls.

4 years of experience in navigating, interpreting, and applying information from data sources including: CoStar/Cotality, Zillow, National Network Map, US Census Bureau (American Community Survey (ACS) for population & demographics, housing & household, economic & employment data), Bureau of Labor Statistics, John Burns Research and Consulting data, local county/city tax assessor and zoning/building department data, House Canary Analytics, ArcGIS geospatial data platform, FEMA Maps (National Flood Hazard Layer), and land use permits to identify and make recommendations on potential development sites.

3 years of experience in Excel with finance and relevant use of shortcuts and VBA.
2 years of experience with reporting platforms including Yardi Voyager, Microsoft CRM, Power BI, and Tableau.
Demonstrated understanding of financial economics and investment concepts including the Efficient Frontier as defined in the Capital Asset Pricing Model, and in Arbitrage Pricing Theory as it pertains to real estate investments.
Bachelors degree (or foreign equivalent) in finance, economics, or other related field; plus 5 years of experience as a financial analyst, or any other position in which the required skills were gained.
