Schedule: 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM, 12-hour shifts; every other weekend required; patient ratio 1:4
Highlights:
- General emergency department treating both adult and pediatric patients across all age groups
- Manageable 1:4 patient ratio in a 13-bed emergency department with approximately 30 daily census
- Broad case mix including trauma, medical-surgical, respiratory conditions, cardiac emergencies, and behavioral health
- Charting system: Meditech
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, radiology, phlebotomy, interpretation services, and transportation
- Local candidates accepted; floating within scope may be required to meet facility needs
Requirements:
- Active RN license in good standing
- Minimum 1-2 years of emergency department nursing experience
- Current certifications: ACLS, PALS, and BLS (non-AHA certifications accepted; Instructor, Provider, and RQI formats accepted)
- Proficiency in blood product administration, central line care and management, phlebotomy, starting and maintaining IVs
- Strong trauma and medical-surgical skills, including pediatric competencies
- Experience with 1:4 patient ratios preferred
- Meditech charting system experience required
- Previous charge experience preferred
- Community hospital experience preferred
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions and declinations allowed)
