Travel Nursing Job Details- Location: Fairbanks, Alaska (99701) — Fairbanks healthcare / Alaska nursing jobs
- Assignment Length: 16 weeks
- Start Date: 5/11/2026 or 5/18/2026
- Shift: 12-hour day shifts
- Hours per Week: 36
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,580 – $2,720
- Housing: Free 1-bedroom housing included (pet units not available)
- Unit: 17-bed LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum)
- Patient Volume: Approximately 80 deliveries per month
- Time Off: Up to 14 days (including max 4 weekend shifts) may be requested at submission
- Minimum 3 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience in a hospital setting (prefer 5+ years overall RN experience)
- Previous travel nursing experience required (travel RN / travel nurse)
- Recent experience with postpartum, couplet care, and circulating for C-sections
- Alaska RN license (AK state RN license active or in-process highly preferred)
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Fetal Monitoring
- Must reside at least 50 miles outside of Fairbanks, AK at time of assignment
- New graduates are not eligible for this position
- Provide comprehensive L&D care across labor, delivery, postpartum, couplet care, and triage settings
- Circulate for C-sections and assist with high-risk deliveries and emergency obstetrics
- Perform fetal monitoring, maternal assessments, newborn stabilization, and postpartum care
- Float to other departments as needed to support unit staffing
- Work required weekend and on-call rotations: 6 weekend shifts per 6-week period; 3 on-call shifts per 6-week period
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team (OB physicians, midwives, neonatology, anesthesiology) to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Deliver compassionate, evidence-based care to mothers and newborns
