Job Details
We are seeking a highly experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in defense litigation support within a law firm environment. This role requires excellent organizational, research, and drafting skills, as well as the ability to manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities:
- Perform administrative duties (calendar hearings and deadlines, manage logistics etc)
- Aid attorneys and provide assistance where needed
- Gather relevant information from a variety of sources
Skills:
- Experience with Discovery, managing cases, and correspondence
- Conducting legal research to find precedents that support a lawyer's arguments in court
- Assisting with court hearings, trials, mediations and depositions
- Drafting legal documents such as affidavits, motions, subpoenas, settlement agreements, pleadings, discovery requests, and wills
- Highly organized with ability to juggle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong writing and communication skills along with attention to detail
- Extensive computer and database expertise
- Family Law experience a plus
- Paralegal associates degree or other relevant certification
