About Our Client

Our client is a legacy /leading provider of power switches for the utility industry. They have been around for over 75 years and continue to stay a top the industry providing the widest variety of options in the power industry. They sell into utility, industrial, and military.

They are seeking a dynamic and driven Regional Sales Manager to join their team. As a Regional Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales growth within your assigned region both direct and via manufacturing representatives. Career growth and upward mobility .

Job Description
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales plan to achieve revenue targets within the assigned region.
  • Develop business in both new and existing accounts.
  • Work with clients in military, utility and serve as a consultative expert in power switches.
  • Work opportunities through manufacturing representatives - managing a complex sale and balancing many decision makers.
  • Opportunity to quickly work up to a leadership opportunity.
  • Work closely with manufacturing representatives to achieve sales plans and targets.
  • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities within the region, including new customer acquisition and existing customer growth.
  • Build strong relationships with key decision-makers at utility organizations, electrical contractors, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including product development, marketing, and customer service, to ensure customer needs are met and exceeded.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends, competitive activity, and customer feedback to adjust sales strategies and tactics as needed.
  • Participate in industry events and trade shows to promote our client's products and build brand awareness.

The Successful Applicant
  • Bachelor's degree in technical field, engineering, electrical engineering desired OR Business or marketing degree with relevant experience.
  • 5+ Years of technical sales experience in utility/power industries - required
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets
  • Excellent communication skills and negotiating skills
  • Experience developing new business
