Registered Nurse - Health Educator

Job Description:

Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potential opportunity for a Registered Nurse - Health Educator at Naval Medical Center San Diego in California. This position offers:

• Full time, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 0600-2100 hours.
• Shifts provided on Monday through Friday will normally be scheduled for an 8.5-to-9-hour period, to include an uncompensated 30-to-60-minute lunch break, respectively.
• On occasion, services may be required on Saturday or Sunday, between the hours of 0700-1300 for a 5.5-hour shift.
• Shifts may also be provided Monday through Friday up to a 11.5-to-12-hour period to meet the business needs of the department. Shifts scheduled for a 12-hour duration of work, with an additional 60-minute uncompensated meal break provided during the shift.
• In no instance will the HCW be required to provide services more than 80 hours per two-week period.
• Opportunity to care for our Military men and women
• Salary to be determined but in the range of $35-$40.

The RN Health Educator position requires:

• Bachelor's degree in Health Education, Community Health, Public Health or a human service- related field.
• One year of specialized experience as a Health Educator after graduation.
• Graduate from a college or university accredited by Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE)
• Current, full, active and unrestricted license to practice as a clinic nurse in any state, the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico or US Virgin Islands.
