Location: New York, NY 10037Shift: Day Shift (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
Duration: 14 Weeks
Hours: 40 hours/week
Compensation: Local – Upto $3,440/week | Travel – Upto $4,100/week
Position Summary
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing for a Behavioral Health service line covering CPEP, inpatient, and outpatient programs. This leadership role is responsible for supporting clinical nursing operations, improving patient care quality, and enhancing staff performance across behavioral health units.
The ideal candidate will bring strong psychiatric nursing leadership experience and a demonstrated ability to drive performance improvement initiatives, ensure regulatory compliance, and support high-quality operational outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Lead initiatives to improve patient care quality and nursing staff performance
- Monitor unit-level clinical operations and collaborate with nurse managers
- Identify performance gaps and implement corrective action plans
- Develop and maintain systems for tracking medication errors and counseling documentation
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, clinical standards, and regulatory requirements
- Support continuous quality improvement initiatives across behavioral health services
- Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management for nursing teams
- Minimum 7 years of nursing experience
- At least 5 years in a supervisory or leadership role
- Strong experience in psychiatric or behavioral health nursing
- Proven background in performance improvement and operational oversight
- Experience developing and implementing corrective action plans
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – New York State
- NYSED Primary Source Verification required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
