Installation Engineer - VA EHR Deployment (50% Travel)

The Role:

Oversee onsite technical teams deploying the VA's Electronic Health Record system across multiple facilities. Travel 1-4 weeks at a time to set up training sites, configure networks, and manage hardware deployments. Between trips, provide local VA helpdesk and system admin support.

What You'll Do:

• Lead technicians during VA EHR training site deployments
• Set up and image computers, configure Active Directory and network connectivity
• Install and troubleshoot Wi-Fi and network hardware
• Manage equipment inventory and ensure uptime during training sessions
• Provide technical support with minimal supervision
• Lift/move equipment up to 50 lbs, set up training rooms

Required:

• Bachelor's degree + 10 years experience OR 18 years experience
• 5+ years configuring/troubleshooting IP networks
• Technical team management experience
• Wi-Fi and network hardware expertise
• Hardware support: imaging, desktop/laptop break-fix, deployments
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Travel up to 50% (1-4 weeks at a time)
• Valid driver's license and personal vehicle

Travel & Requirements:

• Travel by vehicle (primarily) or air for 1-4 week deployments
• Physical work: lifting 50 lbs, frequent stooping/reaching
