Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care float pool position at a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center, requiring cardiac care experience and the ability to manage complex, fast-paced patient populations.
Details- Float pool position covering all PCU/IMCU floors within a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center
- Primary patient population is cardiac, including STEMI, NSTEMI, CTS, and chest pain cases
- May also be assigned to telemetry beds within the same unit at lower acuity levels
- Patient ratio of 1:3–4
- Cardiac drip management required, including Milrinone, Dobutamine, and Pressors
- Uses Epic EMR
- Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
- Block scheduling is generally not approved
- Travelers are expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
- No on-call requirements
- Active RN license — GA state or Compact license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a similarly sized, high-volume facility
- Experience in a high-acuity, large-scale trauma environment required
- Background managing critical, fast-paced situations with complex and diverse cases required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Provide progressive care nursing to a high-acuity cardiac float pool, managing patients across multiple PCU/IMCU floors
- Candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered for this position
- Local candidates are accepted for this position
- Time-off requests are minimal and may face limited approval
