Job Summary
STAFFXPERT LLC is seeking a Scrum Master / Kanban Coach on behalf of our client in Washington, DC. We are looking for an experienced Agile professional with strong expertise in SAFe methodologies and Azure DevOps (ADO) to support enterprise Agile delivery initiatives.The ideal candidate will facilitate Agile ceremonies, drive continuous improvement, manage cross-team dependencies, and enable high-performing Agile teams within a complex delivery environment.
Key Responsibilities- Facilitate Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-Ups, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives, and Kanban flow sessions.
- Support and coordinate PI Planning activities, ensuring alignment of scope, dependencies, and team objectives.
- Coach Agile teams and Product Owners on Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, and Agile best practices.
- Remove impediments, manage delivery risks, and coordinate cross-functional dependencies.
- Maintain accurate Agile tracking and reporting using Azure DevOps (ADO).
- Create and maintain dashboards, sprint metrics, and workflow visibility for stakeholders.
- Facilitate collaboration workshops using tools such as Miro or Mural.
- Promote continuous improvement through Agile metrics, retrospectives, and process optimization.
- Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, collaboration, and high performance.
- Ensure teams deliver high-quality product increments aligned with business objectives and Definition of Done (DoD).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5–7 years of experience as a Scrum Master, Agile Coach, or Kanban Coach in Agile delivery environments.
- Strong experience working within SAFe Agile frameworks.
- Hands-on expertise with Azure DevOps (ADO) for backlog management, sprint execution, workflow tracking, and reporting.
- Experience facilitating Agile workshops and ceremonies using Miro or Mural.
- Strong communication, facilitation, stakeholder management, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Experience working in complex, multi-team Agile environments.
Required Certifications
One or more of the following certifications is required:
- SAFe® Scrum Master (SSM)
- Professional Scrum Master (PSM)
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
- Disciplined Agile Scrum Master (DASM)
- Advanced SAFe certifications such as:
- SAFe® Advanced Scrum Master (ASM)
- SAFe® Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM)
- SAFe® Release Train Engineer (RTE)
- SAFe® Practice Consultant (SPC)
- Experience supporting large enterprise Agile transformations.
- Strong understanding of Lean Agile delivery, flow metrics, and continuous improvement practices.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across distributed and cross-functional teams.a
