Experienced Family Law Paralegal Martino Law Group — Melrose, MA (satellite office in Newburyport)

Are you a seasoned family law paralegal who thrives on running a busy caseload, owns deadlines like they're your own, and takes pride in producing court-ready work the first time?

Martino Law Group is a growing Massachusetts family law and estate planning firm based in Melrose with a satellite office in Newburyport and a third office opening in Lexington. We're looking for an experienced family law paralegal to be the right hand of our family law attorneys, someone who can independently manage discovery, court filings, financial statements, and client communications across a full slate of divorce, custody, modification, and contempt matters.

This is a full-time, in-office position. You'll work alongside a tight, supportive team that values precision, professionalism, and treating every client like they're our only client.

Compensation:

$65,000 - $80,000+ yearly

Responsibilities:

What You'll Do
  • Draft and respond to Complaints, discovery: Interrogatories, Requests for Production, Requests for Admissions, and Rule 410 mandatory disclosures
  • Prepare Financial Statements, including asset tracing, valuation backup, and supporting schedules
  • Draft, file, and serve pleadings, motions, affidavits, and proposed orders in the MA Probate & Family Court (e-file)
  • Manage trial prep: witness prep summaries, exhibit lists, exhibit binders, trial notebooks, and pretrial memoranda
  • Run client intake follow-up, status updates, scheduling, and document collection; you're the client's day-to-day point of contact
  • Maintain matter files in Clio Manage; keep deadlines, tasks, and time entries accurate and current
  • Coordinate with opposing counsel's offices, court clerks, mediators, GALs, and process servers
  • Spot issues early and flag them to the attorney before they become problems
  • Show empathy for all clients going through the most difficult time of their lives

Qualifications:

What You'll Bring
  • 5–8 years of hands-on family law paralegal experience in a Massachusetts firm
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Clio Manage (required), you can set up matters, run reports, and keep a docket clean without supervision
  • Demonstrated experience e-filing in MA Probate & Family Court (required)
  • Working command of the MA Domestic Relations Procedure, Supplemental Probate & Family Court Rules, and the Child Support Guidelines
  • Strong drafting skills: You can produce a clean motion or discovery response without a template handed to you
  • Knowledge and comfort working with AI (Claude, Chat GPT, Notebook LM, and Gemini)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; warm and professional with clients under stress
  • Highly organized, calendar-driven, and comfortable juggling 40+ active matters
  • Microsoft Word, Outlook, OneDrive/SharePoint, and Adobe Acrobat fluency
  • Notary commission a plus (or willingness to obtain)
  • Paralegal certificate or equivalent experience
