You will be a Engineering & Technology (E&T) Manager in the Orlando Software Engineering Department. This role is responsible for all phases of the software development lifecycle including requirements analysis, design, code and unit test, and hardware/software integration and verification.
The individual will develop embedded software in C++ and Linux operating system in an Agile environment using JIRA, Git and Confluence. The individual will need to apply appropriate standards, processes, procedures and tools throughout the development lifecycle.

What You Will Be Doing As the Embedded Software Engineering Manager you will lead the Simulation Framework effort, driving end

-to-end software delivery for embedded C++/Linux applications in an Agile environment.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
  • Maintain and evolve simulation software libraries that model tactical components and operational environments.
  • Define, design, code, test, integrate, and verify embedded simulation software using JIRA, Git, and Confluence.
  • Manage and develop a multidisciplinary team, providing technical coaching, career development, and performance feedback.
  • Plan, conduct, and coordinate software development activities while ensuring adherence to standards, processes, and tools.
  • Lead recruitment, training, salary planning, and competency development; act as the technical conscience for the program.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related sciences
  • Experience with software design

  • Experience with C++ and software development
  • Implementation and Verification & Validation testing
  • Must be a US citizen - this position requires the ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
